From Field to Forest!!

Date: 6th Sep 2015 @ 12:43am

It’s an exciting time here at Woodland Warriors After School Club as we eagerly await the arrival of some logs to create a seating circle that will be a focal point for our Forest School experiences. This event will also mark the start of our journey in developing the field into a forest! In the coming months we will be taking small steps to bring about a change to our outside area. There are plans to approach the Woodland Trust for the provision of young trees to plant and seeds will be scattered to create a wild flower meadow that will encourage bees, butterflies and other wildlife.

At the same time the Woodland Warriors will be meeting on a Thursday afternoon and they too will be on a journey, challenging themselves, learning in the natural environment, exploring and best of all having fun. To keep up to date on what’s happening check out the Forest School News Items and when I’ve got the hang of the gallery you’ll also be able to see the progress we’re making.

On a final note fingers crossed for good weather so we don’t end up with twelve wet Woodland Warriors on Thursday.
